Apache Junction’s precipitation is captured by our three primary watersheds: Siphon Draw, Roosevelt Canal, and Weekes Wash, representing 71,521 acres of collection area. Storm runoff flows from the northeast to the southwest via Weekes Wash and Palm Wash. Other significant natural drainages within the City are Bulldog Wash and Siphon Draw. The City’s collection and conveyance system is a combination of natural washes and municipal culverts, channels, retention and detention basins, inlets, and drywells.
